Health Information Consent

To personalize your experience, Vytal Path stores health information you provide, including conditions, medications, lab results, vitals, device readings, and cycle tracking entries, and uses it to power features like your dashboard, AI Coach, and reminders.

By checking the health information consent box during setup, you agree to this collection and processing. You are not required to provide any specific piece of health information to use the app, beyond what's needed for the features you choose to use.

If you use Cycle Tracker, you are separately consenting to our collection of your menstrual cycle information, which several states treat as a distinct, sensitive category of consumer health data (for example, Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's SB 370, and Connecticut's Data Privacy Act) requiring its own separate opt-in on top of the general health information consent above. This information is never sold and is never shared with a third party for advertising or marketing, and is only disclosed if required by law.

You also acknowledge that, while we secure your health information using the measures described in our Security Statement, no storage or transmission method is completely secure, and that you accept this residual risk as a condition of using health tracking features, the same understanding that applies to any online service handling personal information.

You can withdraw either consent at any time from My Account → Privacy & Data, independently of one another. Withdrawing the general health information consent stops new health data of any kind from being saved — this is enforced on our servers, not just hidden in the app, so it holds even if you use a different device or a caregiver tries to log something on your behalf. Withdrawing Cycle Tracker consent specifically stops only new cycle entries the same way, without affecting anything else you track. Neither deletes data already stored — use the separate account deletion option for that.

Health information is never used for advertising, never sold, and is only shared with a third party if you explicitly connect one (e.g. a lab or device integration), if it's one of the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy who help us operate Vytal Path, or if required by law.
